my Swarovski crystal nativity set
I had thought about purchasing a nativity set this year as part of my Christmas decorations, but then I remembered my Swarovski collection. I have a whole glass cabinent full of Swarovski crystals. My dad would buy me crystal when I was little. He was stationed in Germany from when I was about 2 and half until I was 5. He would buy me a piece almost every month and ship it home to me. I always looked forward to those big boxes of gifts from Germany.
Advent calendars are a Christmas tradition taken from Germany. I don't remember a single Christmas in which my mom or dad didn't get me an advent calendar.

This ornament was a gift from a student my first year of teaching. It is hand painted. The child and her parents are all Auburn fans.
