This is my New Year's Resolution update:
1. Bible reading and memorizing scripture
Yup, I have kept this one so far. I have practiced saying Ephesians 4:32 every morning and night. I have been reading that chapter of the bible to have a greater understanding and not just focusing on one verse.
2. prayer
I have prayed every night and I have started to pray in the morning. I figured it would be a good way to start my morning :) I started a prayer journal. I wrote Ephesians 4:32 down and then wrote out a prayer to God about helping to forgive others. I have a hard time forgiving people who have hurt me. My natural tendency is to hold on to the hurt and anger I feel towards the other person, even though it really only hurts me. So I have been earnestly been praying that God helps me to truely forgive others and move on. If Christ can forgive me for all of my sins, then I need to forgive those who have hurt me.
3. this right here is a faith conversation
4. cleaning and de-cluttering
I wasn't able to pick up everything before bed, but I did pick up a lot. I was proud of myself. Hopefully I can get everything picked up in the next couple of days and just work daily on maintaining it.
5. get active and be healthy
I am trying. I did zumba for 30 on the wii last night. I really need to figure out the right way to hook up my wii to the tv/dvr/dvd player so I don't have to unplug lots of things to get the wii to work. I had fun doing zumba. It was encouraging and I got to shake my hips. Maybe one day I will be able to shake my hips liek Shakira! Ha! I might do so wii boxing tonight or some yoga. My arms were sore this morning. Boxing will keep the pain going.
Any guesses as to whch resolution I am not doing a good job of keeping? I knew when I made it that it would be the most difficult. More sleep and fewer naps? Yup, you guessed correctly. In an effort to keep those other resolutions I was way late getting into bed. It was rough this morning and all day at school. I tried really hard not to nap tonight, but after dinner I could barely hold my head up. So I napped. Well the nap took me. I am trying to finish watching the Sugar Bowl. I need to work out. I have some school work to do for tomorrow's reading lesson on the smart board. I just want to sleep : /
I went to the dentist yesterday. I got a new dentist. My old dentist, who wasn't all that old, decided to retire. I had had the same dentist my whole life. I liked Dr. Holland. We could joke around together. I was comfortable with him. Now there is this new guy. Jury is still out on him. I get to go see him on my next day off because I have cavities. I have lots of them, because I am not a good flosser :( The dentist wasn't all that encouraging, and then he tried to back track and get on my good side saying I have pretty teeth. Pretty teeth but unhealthy teeth. I want my old dentist back. It is a good thing I really like the ladies in the office and the girl who cleans my teeth. She even said she could tell that I had been doing better brushing at home. Now daily flossing is an added resolution.
And Mallet just threw an interception! ugh!
How many more days until the weekend? I am ready for it right about NOW!
Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
