brownies

milk chocolate brownies

I LOVE making brownies! I make them from scratch. *I took some milk chocolate brownies to school a few weeks back. Another first grade teacher asked me about the recipe and was shocked to discover my brownies weren't from a box. She said, "I didn't know you could make brownies from scratch!"* The only frustrating thing about making brownies is cooking them until they are just right. I like gooey brownies. I hate over cooked brownies. It can be difficult to get them just right. Both times I have made brownies recently I ended up standing by the oven checking them every 2-3 minutes after their scheduled time waiting for them to be cooked just right. I was successful both times. When I make them I share with my first grade team and then leave the extras in the mail room. Everyone that makes it there before they're all gone are very grateful for my goodies.

Here are links to the recipes for both types of brownies I have made. *I forgot to take pictures of the brookies (a cookie brownie combination). Oops!*

Here is my covered 9x13 cake pan. I purchased it at Le Gourmet Chef. It has a lid which is helpful when you carry things to school. It has a handle, too. When I made these brownies I made sure the lid was securely attached before leaving. However, after taking three steps the cake pan it the floor and I was left holding only the lid. Luckily, the brownies stayed in the pan. I was rather unhappy about my cake pan so I emailed Le Gourmet Chef. They were surprised to hear of my fiasco. They apologized and sent me a replacement. Yay for me!
