ah...the all important kitchen aid stand mixer. Sometimes I think I would get the bigger version of the mixer. I also know of all the stores that carry kitchen aid mixers and everytime I am in one of those stores I find myself in that area looking at that shelf. I try to avoid them, because I know I am not going to buy one. I know what they look like. I know about all of the attachments. But...I really want one. I think they are so pretty. However, I feel like it is an expensive thing to buy and it should probably be something purchased as a wedding gift. I have seen only a handful of wedding registries that didn't include one. So this unmarried girl will wait until Mr. Right comes along to fill out a registry to include this pretty mixer. Well I am impatient and don't have the highest hopes of me getting married so I will wait until age 30 before giving in and buying one.

Around the beginning of the school year I started thinking about my dishes. I had okay dishes, but I really wanted nice and pretty dishes that I could be proud to display to others (not that I have anyone to show them off to). So I started looking at dishes to buy. Price was a big factor. I also wanted something that I would have time to purchase all of the pieces I wanted. Quality was very important as well. So I decided on fiestaware. I have bought several pieces thus far, and I am proud to say that I haven't paid full price on anything. Yay for me! Fiestaware goes on sale a lot. Belk, Dillard's, and Kohl's all carry the line. I recently learned that you can order pieces from Kohl's in the store, get the sale price, and get it shipped for free which is wonderful since the scarlet color is popular and there are some pieces they don't really carry much of in the store.

Stay tuned for pictures of my kitchen. It isn't my dream kitchen, but it is 10 times better than my old kitchen and I love it dearly!
