1. There was the end of school. I got tenure! Hip hip hooray!
2. Packing up my old apartment which is no fun and lots of work
3. Working 40+ hours a week
4. Moving to the new apartment in near 100 degree weather
*Mom helped move some. She helped me get settled more than anything, which I greatly appreciate. Ryan and Caleb moved all the big things (couches, bed, dresser, etc.). However, even with the help I still moved most of it. It was exhausting.
5. Trying to get settled in the new apartment while working 40+ hours a week.
6. Trying to get ready for the next school year.
7. Way to many weddings and showers which seem to occupy most weekends and a lot of my money
**I have loved getting the chance to visit friends and see them get married. However, it has taken a lot of my free time which I am quite attached to :)
8. Couponing! I have become one of those people. I really needed to start managing my money better with the nicer, more expensive apartment. It is a work in progress, but I am proud of myself for not paying full price on a lot of things.
***Example. New washer and dryer: I had $65 in best buy points (thanks mom), $100 american express gift card, and $25 visa gift card. I have spent most of my gift cards and bought useful things such as kitchen supplies. I have become a good sale shopper and using coupons while buying things on sale.
9. I have continued my cooking resolution. I will try to post more about that later.
I am going to try my best and hang pictures over the weekend so that I can take pictures and update everyone on my new apartment. It is a work in progress. I need to hang/buy curtains for my many windows. My old apartment had one single window. My new apartment has 2 singles, 1 double, and 1 triple window. So I currently have the supplies to cover one of the singles, but since it is part of a pair in my living room and I like symmetry it is not on the wall. Here are the bar stools I want for my apartment. Too bad they are $40 each and I need 4 :( Upside, they are at BB&B so I can save up those 20% coupons to help purchase them.
